Sustainable VDI
Off-the-shelf VDI products were never designed for professionals using specialist design and visualisation apps or working on huge datasets. Hampering real-time project team collaboration and causing user frustration and downtime, firms risk project delays, budget overruns and customer dissatisfaction.
Leveraging unparalleled virtualisation expertise and industry experience, Creative purpose-built VDIPOD specifically to address these challenges. VDIPOD delivers unprecedented high performance, enabling thousands of industry professionals globally to access mission-critical data and apps from anywhere, anytime and on any device.
VDIPOD coupled with thin clients enables firms to extend the life of existing hardware, lowering power usage and carbon emissions, avoiding equipment refreshes and reducing environmental waste. Clients adopting VDIPOD over traditional CAD workstations reduce power consumption by 81.7% and CO₂eq up to 43%, with 89% renewable energy at source (one VDI server supporting 60 thin clients).
SUSTAINABLE IT INFRASTRUCTURE
Migrating to an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model is another route for firms to reduce environmental impact. With fully-managed IaaS, infrastructure responsibility, power consumption and carbon footprint transfers to Creative. Hosting services in datacentres operating on 100% renewable energy and freed from maintaining on-premise infrastructure, organisations reduce energy consumption, cooling costs and waste from decommissioned equipment. We also improve firms’ sustainability further using virtual machines and containers to reduce server numbers.

Our data centres are optmised to achieve a power usage effectiveness ratio (total energy used versus energy delivered to IT equipment) of c.1.2 versus an industry average of 1.8.
